Javi and his Subaru
I can't believe that Javi is 17 and about to go to college! I remember photographing him when he was a little baby! As much as we all say it with the little ones, they really do grow up so fast. Javi is the second eldest of my nieces and nephews - I have eight now and most of them are really all grown up, no longer in diapers, so it's kind of crazy!
Javi is going to be studying Electric Power Generation Technology with a Diesel emphasis, and I couldn't be more proud of him. It was really fun to spend the day with him doing these senior portraits. I got to really get to know him better as a young man rather than just my sibling’s little baby! We went to some of the same spots that we shot his sister's senior portraits two years ago, so it was nice to know what spots had a natural charm to them.
I felt like I was doing an engagement shoot with Javi and his Subaru! It was hilarious and also very cute. It was awesome to see how proud he was of his car and how much work he put into it – and even more exciting with what he’ll be studying further on in school! I know that he's gonna be really good at like whatever he sets his mind to in life and I’m so excited to share these shots!
