Kristy and Adrian’s Malibu Engagement Shoot at Malibu Wines and Point Dume
Congratulations to Kristy and Adrian!! Not only for being engaged, but for FINALLY taking their bar exams! On a rare break from hitting the books, they took a trip out to California to visit family and finalize their wedding details, so we felt like it was the perfect time to do their engagement photos:) They suggested Malibu as their location, specifically Point Dume, because Kristy’s grandparents used to live there and she spent many hours of her childhood exploring the rocks and beaches of that area. I thought it would be fun to start the day with a bit of wine at Malibu Wines outdoor tasting room before taking on Point Dume. I’m glad we did, because our outing turned into a full-fledge hike/race to get to the beach before sunset:) Everything turned out perfectly, the lighting, Kristy’s choice of dresses and colors, how adorable and easy they were to photograph, and of course randomly finding their initials already carved into a rock on the cliff seconds after I suggested carving them. It was definitely serendipitous! My highlight? After hiking back up the cliff to our cars, there was a gourmet food truck making flatbreads.
