What a fun wedding! I love when I get to shut down the dance floor at the end of the evening with the bridesmaids:) Thanks to a fun crew of vendors, like DJ Jeff Collins of VOX Djs and their coordinator Theresa Hardesty, everything ran smoothly and there was never a dull moment! Laura and Nader chose one of my favorite, picturesque churches in Palos Verdes, The Neighborhood Church, to have their ceremony. Nestled on a cliff with huge trees draped around it and gorgeous natural light, you can’t go wrong with taking photos here. They made their getaway in a vintage Rolls Royce to their reception at the Hotel Maya, another hidden gem. Long Beach is not known for their funky hotels, with one exception, the quaint boutique Hotel Maya. I LOVE shooting here. The textures, furniture, views, and twinkle lights and chandeliers makes for a rustic chic atmosphere. It’s definitely my kind of place!
Other than the fact that I was confused constantly about when people were talking to me, (because I heard my name ALL day long since the bride’s name was Laura AND her maid of honor was also named Laura!), I had the best time with all of their friends and family. It turns out that all you need is LOVE, good music, dancing, good food, and a 2 hour cocktail hour to make any party a success! Congrats Laura and Nader! I hope you two are having a blast this week in Hawaii!
