I have been waiting for MONTHS for this wedding and I can’t believe it has already come and gone! So many months of planning, but it all paid off, because Tracy and Matt’s wedding day not only was gorgeous and went off without a hitch, but it was EPIC on so many levels! I know that most of this is due to the amazing behind the scenes planning done by Bob Gail Events, but it also helps to have a bride that knows what she wants:)
I have to say that it is a first that I did a workout class with the bride before shooting a 14 hour day! I’m not in my 20’s anymore THAT’s for sure, but when I look at the amount of energy Tracy has on a constant basis, I feel 90! lol After working out, I went and got ready with the bridal party at Shutters on the Beach where the rest of the festivities would happen and our day officially began:) Tracy and Matt are both obsessed with travel like I am, so it was apropos that their details included globes, a map, and place cards based on their favorite vacation spots from around the world. They also incorporated their love of wine into their wedding ceremony and the turquoise and coral color theme was straight from the inspiring ocean view. Their ceremony was SUPER emotional (I think everyone cried at one point or other:), the kids and Davy the dog made adorable cameos, but the sunset stole the show as they said their “I Do’s”…We still managed to hustle down to the beach for the last drop of twilight though for some photos:)
What I was MOST excited about was the party and to be able to be a guest at the end of the night and dance! But Tracy still had a few surprises up her sleeve, like her choreographed father-daughter dance, Pittsburgh Steelers Groom’s cake, and breaking tradition with adding a Mother-Daughter dance…which I loved! Their party lasted till late in the night and the dancing NEVER stopped..you’ll see! The most touching part about Tracy and Matt, though, was the email that I got from them while on honeymoon in the Maldives!! I mean, I didn’t even know you could get on the internet out there, but they said the colors reminded them of me and that I had to go there someday. You guys are so sweet for thinking about me!..Don’t worry..It’s on my list and I WILL get there someday promise!
