I HEART Dos Pueblos Ranch in Goleta, California. Michelle KNEW that I was going to die shooting here before I even arrived and she was right. The estate includes a gorgeous refurbished barn, private beach and estate lawn, all with super cute details, farm equipment, and of course their resident goats…all for a price tag of $95 million if anyone is interested in buying this property:) I finally got to work with the FABULOUS Tonya Szele with Soigne Productions who is a veteran at the ranch. She made everything run perfectly and was SO enjoyable to work with! I also got to enjoy the gourmet food from SBB Gourmet Catering, whom I had the pleasure of working with on another wedding. Honestly, their food is SO delicious and is to die for! But THE best part about this wedding for me was that it felt like a family reunion! Michelle, Arthur, and I met while I was shooting a wedding of their mutual friends, who all went to school at USC together. I now have had the pleasure of shooting ten weddings within their group of friends…a few in foreign exotic locales! I LOVE their group of friends. They are all so close, so fun, and have become like family to me over the past decade. So I have been looking forward to this day for a long time:)
Michelle was stunning, the atmosphere was so chill and everyone was barefoot, sipping cocktails, playing horseshoes and bocce ball in the lawn on the private beach, and just enjoying good food and company. The chandeliers in the barn, the gorgeous florals and hay on the ground all created a perfect juxtaposition of casual and upscale. It was an elegant, yet relaxed affair. Honestly, Michelle, you pulled off a perfect wedding:) I have never seen you two glowing so much and you both deserve all of the happiness in the world. Some of my favorite moments from the night were Vijay’s jumping photos, the bridesmaids rendition of Wilson Phillips, smores with the kids over the firepit, losing my shoes somewhere on the beach:), the cutest little girls that ruled the dance floor, dancing with some of my former brides and grooms, and of course getting hugs from Arthur and Michelle:) SO much fun guys, now it’s Vijay’s turn!
