Finally, a sneak peek of Mahsa and Abtin’s EPIC 15 hour Persian Wedding Extravaganza! We had so much fun, but I think they may take the record for the longest dance set ever…like 5 hours long! I knew I was going to have a blast at this wedding for many reasons: One, Mahsa and Abtin are friends of mine and I knew some of their guests (including my boyfriend:), Two, I LOVE the food and music at Persian Weddings, Three, Matt Turk with Tower Films and Sarah Horowitz were my Photography and Dancing sidekicks, and finally, because I LOVE seeing my friends get married and in Mahsa and Abtin’s case, it has been many years in the making. We organized a first look, so we could trek down to Palos Verdes to get some gorgeous photos of the two of them before the ceremony. The car ride there was sort of the calm before the storm of 400 guests showing up later on and they had THE PERFECT weather for their photos…just stunning. After the Ketubah signing, one of my favorite parts of the wedding was when their entourage came down the “catwalk” aisle, each to their own theme song, and grandma stole the show! Then of course Dancing, Dinner, throwing rose petals, rocking it out with Mahsa on the dancefloor and being told I “dance better than an Iranian”…were perhaps my favorite moments of the day! I am SO happy for you both, Mahsa and Abtin, I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon and “backpacking” around Greece and Turkey. You two deserve it!
