A Zinsmeister Wedding!
I got to meet our beautiful couple, Alleina and John, because of my incredible roommate, Amber! John is Amber’s big brother and they’re all originally from the metro-Detroit area! So, of course, I got to fly out and be the photographer for their lovely wedding!
Right after their “first look”, we hopped in a giant party bus that carried about twenty or so of the bridal party members, myself, and the videographers! We first popped over to a Jimmy John’s for a bunch of subs and picked up what was probably considered to be an ungodly amount of booze for everyone! We stopped at a few different iconic places around Detroit to take photos – the Detroit Institute of Arts, the gorgeous alleyway called The Belt, and the Waterfront Park of the Detroit River where there was a cute little lighthouse! By the end of our time on the party bus, we had groomsmen drinking out of their own shoes (see photos below!) It became a complete insane party and then everyone showed up for the ceremony itself and somehow managed to walk! Definitely fun to have a party before the actual party.
Alleina and John are such a cute couple, just totally in love with each other and so much fun to photograph – they laugh so easily with each other and their families love hanging out, too. It was a very, very happy fusion. And the Detroit weather was a perfect sunny day for these two’s beautiful day! Plus, the Lions won!
