Rachel and Noah’s Urban Vintage Wedding at the Smog Shoppe in Culver City

I HEART Rachel and Noah!!  I have been looking forward to their wedding weekend for a LONG time, not only because I was going to get to work with the fabulous Charley King of Blue Bell Events, and get to shoot at one of my FAVORITE venues, the Smog Shoppe in Culver City, but because Rachel and Noah LOVE to be in front of the camera:)  And why shouldn’t they?  They are both ridiculously cute and so in love that they just gush and giggle and hold hands all of the time. Honestly, I knew that this would be an insane party and a heart-felt, emotional day…but it was even more beautiful and fun than I imagined.

They had their rehearsal and got ready at the boutique Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills, which went perfectly with their mid-century modern, urban, vintage-chic sort of theme for their wedding.  They did not leave ONE detail unattended and made most things themselves from their custom sunglasses that said “Noah Loves Rachel” for all of their guests, to the hand-made Marquee “LOVE” sign, to the hand-drawn table numbers (courtesy of Noah’s mom who has always draws cats her entire life), to the jars of  home-made jam as favors for the guests.  They also had a vintage photo booth,  handkerchiefs for all of the guests to cry in during the ceremony, adorable signs and love quotes scattered across the venue, sparklers with custom matches, and my PERSONAL favorite, Rachel’s wedding dress co-designed by her.  It was STUNNING and straight from another glamorous era.  My photo partner in crime, Jillian Rose, and I went nuts photographing all of these adorable details.  Their ceremony was given by my favorite Reverend of all time, Clint Hufft, and had the back drop of succulents and a hanging chandelier, while guests lounged on wooden benches and couches.  It was such a perfect, relaxed ceremony.

Rachel and Noah have such a cute love story, where they have been inseparable since the day they met. Noah is a musician and even performed an Elvis love song on the ukelele for Rachel during the reception and Rachel is an actress and personal trainer..all the more reason why she is a natural in front of the camera!  The best part about having met these two is that I DEFINITELY plan on hanging out with them at their infamous piano bar where Noah works on Thursday nights and continue on our friendship…because you guys are definitely my kind of people:)  Love you guys!  Congratulations!!
