Diane and Danny’s Rainbow-blessed Wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe
I have to say that in ALL my years as a wedding photographer, I have never witnessed a more beautiful sunset in my life! Diane and Danny were so nervous all day long that their lakeside, beach wedding in Lake Tahoe was going to get rained out, but the rain clouds waited to release until the VERY moment these two kissed and officially became husband and wife. Their “run” down the aisle for the first time as man and wife was joined by ALL of their guests running for cover lol! But as their luck would continue, ten minutes later the sky revealed a beautiful rainbow and their sunset photos were EPIC to say the least! Diane’s family has spent summers up in Lake Tahoe her entire life, so it made sense to have their wedding there. To me, Lake Tahoe is about the beauty of the forests and lake, so we shot their formal photos with those two backdrops in mind. Diane’s family is full of photographers, so I looked like I had a posse of photographers with me, but in reality it was just Jillian Rose..my photo partner-in-crime:)
Diane and Danny I met through Lauren and Steven Hall, another former bride and groom of mine, so it was such a pleasure to get to see them again and catch up. After Diane and Danny realized we were neighbors, we decided to run around our “hood” in Venice to shoot their engagement photos and the rest is history. I LOVE Lake Tahoe, so when I was invited to come up to photograph it, I was so ecstatic! The Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe DEFINITELY lived up to it’s beautiful reputation on this trip. Diane and Danny definitely planned everything for their wedding with their guests enjoyment in mind. From their fun Mexican-themed rehearsal dinner, to hanging out at the beach, to their elegant wedding with candles, driftwood decor and a fire pit with s’mores, they really treated their guests to a relaxed weekend.
I HAD to post a sneak peek from their wedding even though the photos are not ready yet. The lighting and sunset was EPIC, and not many people can say a rainbow blessed their wedding:) Congratulations Diane and Danny!!
