Now that this wedding elopement has finally been featured on Weddingchicks, I can post it on my blog:) Ashley and Andrew were the lucky winners of the elopement contest that was sponsored by Weddingchicks, The Four Seasons Punta Mita, and Brooke Keegan Weddings and Events back in April of this year and I had the pleasure of being their photographer! We had such an amazing team with Tam Ashworth of Isari Flower Studio, Ryan Davis of Cloudless Weddings, and of course Brooke Keegan coordinator extraordinaire!
We all spent the week at the Four Season Punta Mita, prepping and photographing their engagement shoot in the nearby surf town of Sayulita, their intimate, private, rehearsal dinner at sunset on top of “The Rock” with their own bonfire and s’mores, yachting, jet skiing, paddle boarding, salsa dancing , tequila tasting, testing out all of the fabulous restaurants on the property, and OF COURSE preparing for the big wedding day itself!
Here is a sneak peek of their wedding day! Ashley and Andrew decided to elope in Mexico and only had two of their parents there as guests. It was a gorgeous, intimate wedding filled with great views, food, wine and of course a churro cake! We started off the day with staging their “first look” on the 18th hole which is on it’s own private island in the ocean. The stone walkway to get out there can only be accessed during low-tide, so we had to time it perfectly:) From there, we decided to do a slightly different version of a beach ceremony and have it set back from the water underneath this canopy of trees. Tam was brilliant with draping native flowers over the trees and even raking the leaves to create a carpeted aisle. Every flower was sourced locally and it just blended perfectly with the environment. Brooke, Ryan, Tam and I worked SO well as a team and the day flowed without a hitch. Hopefully, we get keep getting invited back to the Four Seasons…for ANY reason possible:)
