Tracy and Matt’s Venice Beach Engagement Shoot

I LOVE everything about this shoot..not only because Tracy, Matt and I sat at Primitivo over wine plotting and planning this entire crazy, ambitious shoot, but because we totally rocked it out and I got to visit some of my favorite places in my “hood”, Venice Beach (technically it’s “their hood” as well:).  I had the pleasure of meeting these two through the amazing Allyson Levine of Bob Gail Events (whose own engagement pics by Elizabeth Messina are just being posted now and are gorgeous BTW!).  I think I had a girl crush right away when I met Tracy lol.  She is just pretty bad ass and on top of working, traveling and planning a wedding, she teaches spin class at Equinox in the Marina if you guys want to get your ass kicked!  Matt is her calming other half and did SO much work to help make this shoot happen, like renting tables and linens to recreate his romantic proposal to her on the rooftop of their apartment building.  SO CUTE!

So our day started out with doing a funny spoof shot of a glimpse into their typical home life, then they donned THE BEST matching golf outfits I have ever seen to hit the course near LAX, then we were starving and hit their FAVORITE dive bar, Hinano’s, in dressy clothes to grab their famous cheeseburgers, and then ran off to the beach for some romantic pics.  We then had to race back to their house, change, climb on the roof and light candles for the finale recreation of his proposal by candlelight at sunset….We made it just in time to grab an amazing red/orange sunset and have a glass of wine.  What a PERFECT end to an EPIC day!
