Finally Kristin and Mark’s GORGEOUS wedding at Wayfarers Chapel and the Trump National Golf Course. You may remember their blog post from a few weeks ago from their engagement shoot at Terranea and how I mentioned that this is the first wedding where both the bride and groom shared the same last name, Williams….So it was a cool theme for them to create a “W” monogram which we found everywhere from the napkins and favors on the tables to the matchbooks for their grand sparkler exit. I have to mention how phenomenal Kristin looked and that the fabulous Tara Dowburd-Luftman of Make-Up Therapy did her make-up. She looked flawless ALL day long! There were so many cute details to this wedding, that I HAD to post a ton of photos, but i think you will agree that the little bridesmaids in ballerina slippers stole the show at the reception…literally, they were the show. They actually performed a ten minute long Irish Riverdance and basically were the entertainment for the evening…It was SO adorable!
Wayfarers Chapel is one of my favorite places to shoot and this particular day was THE MOST spectacular I have ever seen. It was SO clear that you could actually see the details of Catalina Island and it looked like a blue island floating on blue water…truly stunning. Kristin and Mark and I went down to the golf course for some epic photos in the late afternoon light and then came back to join the festivities in the famous gold-leafed room at Trump. I LOVE the way the hot pink of their flowers and the men’s ties, were “tied in” throughout the decor of the reception. The flowers, up-lighting, favors and even cake all had hot pink accents. One of my favorite touches was their guest sign in book, a coffee table book entitled “LOVE” of real photographs from famous photographers all about love around the world. Yes, I was slightly obsessed with this book. I want to own it.
And finally, the grand sparkler exit! I was concerned about giving a bunch of people who had been drinking for hours HUGE sparklers, but it went off without a hitch:) Thank you guys for letting me join and document your most important day. I hope you love the photos as much as I do!
