Esteela and Mayah’s Halloween Party at “Books and Cookies” in Santa Monica
OK, this may the the highlight of my Halloween this year, photographing this adorable Halloween party for my dear friend Esteela and her daughter Mayah. I LOVE being the family photographer for the Boedeker’s, not only because I get to see little Mayah grow and become cuter and cuter over the years, but because she is now so talkative and is hilarious. Esteela and Mayah were matching Spiders for Halloween and I overheard someone asking Mayah if she was dressed as a Spider and she replied, “I AM a Spider”…ha ha! I love how she never broke character. But seriously, Esteela keeps outdoing herself every year with her amazingly detailed and thoughtfully cute parties that she throws. I had never been to Books and Cookies in Santa Monica before, but I can’t wait to have kids so I can frequent the place. It’s not your average Children’s bookstore. Not only do they provide story time with an overly animated storyteller, but they have a cookie decorating station for the kids which was a HUGE hit. Honestly, every parent should know about this place. Esteela, this was SUCH a cute party, I can’t wait to see what you do next!
