After almost 12 years of knowing each other and dating, Christine and Alex FINALLY tied the knot! They may be one of the cutest couples I have seen. I first had the privilege of shooting their engagement shoot at the gorgeous UC Berkeley Campus where they met. We spent the day going down memory lane and we had such an amazing time. So I knew that their wedding day would be super emotional.
First, I have to thank the fabulous Anais Wade for helping me photograph their wedding. They had their first ceremony at Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, then we went to the Redondo Beach Historic Library, where they changed into their Korean attire and had their Paebaek Ceremony. What a process it was to change! At one point Alex had to google how to put together the bride’s clothing, because there were so many layers of fabric and clothing to put on. It was hilarious! I LOVE shooting multicultural weddings, because the colors and traditions are SO colorful and unique. One of the highlights for me was watching Alex’s Scottish Dad trying to figure out his role in the Paebaek Ceremony…priceless! They had so many hilarious, touching speeches from their friends and family that it was amazing to witness. It was like everyone was a professional speech writer, but what that REALLY shows me is what quality people they are to collect such amazing friends. The reception ended at sunset, where we ran outside onto the beach and took some gorgeous final photos in their Korean garb. What a gorgeous day! Thank you for having us document the most special day of the last 14 years for you! I know you will have an amazing, fulfilling life together!
