I met Amy almost a decade ago when we first started playing soccer on the same team. So knowing how competitive she is, I was NOT surprised when she was still playing games up until the week of her wedding. Normally, we see each other in shin guards and all sweaty with no make-up, so to see her super glammed up was amazing! I had been looking forward to shooting her wedding at Maravilla Gardens forever….Jared, Amy and I had so much fun running around for their engagement shoot, that I knew that the actual wedding day was going to be a blast…and I was right! Even though Amy was super sick, (and had to go to the hospital on her honeymoon!) she still made sure every detail she had hand-made was perfect, and still partied like the rest of them. I also have to thank the fabulous, Lori Yohe, for being my right-hand photographer all night long. I can’t wait to see her pics!
Here are my highlights of this gorgeous day:
1. The parasol first look reveal
2. The trolley car that brought the wedding party to the reception
3. Jared crying the ENTIRE ceremony:)…well, Amy did too:)
4. The singing performance by their closest friends during the ceremony
5. The SUPER grand entrance by the entire wedding party (I HAD to blog a ton of these…it was AMAZING!)
6. The vibrant Yellow theme throughout her wedding, from her shoes to the flip-flops provided for guests…gorgeous!
7. Her upbeat first dance with her dad
8. Jared’s Dad….enough said:)
9. Amy’s Uncle who was on the floor for most of his dancing:)
10. The crazy partying!
and finally….
11. The sparkler exit (I was a bit worried giving a bunch of drunk people sparklers, but it worked out well:)
