Sabrina and Jessica are seriously my soul sisters! We are connected in so many ways and by 1 degree of separation. Not only did we run into each other at the airport on their way to Nicaragua on their honeymoon, but while in Nicaragua by the pool they ran into a former bride and groom of mine! I swear this world keeps getting smaller and smaller!
I love that I was able to work with the fabulous Charley King with Bluebell Events, my favorite sidekick Sarah Natasha, and to shoot at Mr. C’s in Beverly Hills. It is such a classy , modern hotel and with Sabrina and Jessica’s vision of using white furniture and decor with glass and Lucite, it made it all mesh perfectly. I have never seen a chuppah in lucite before with draped orchids and hanging flowers and they even had the flower girl basket and ring bearer box made out of lucite a very clever and beautiful touch.
We decided to do their first look on the top penthouse balcony with only glass and steel separating them from the sky. I LOVED shooting up there and to see both of their gorgeous couture gowns by RMine together side by side was a stunning sight. I loved how Sabrina’s looked like Grecian goddess and Jessica’s had more of a princess/mermaid cut. Although they were completely different styles, having been made by the same designer tied them both together beautifully.
After their heartfelt ceremony, and a visit from a flying video drone, everyone went to the rooftop for signature cocktails, a choreographed first dance by Sabby and Jess, tunes spun by DJ DLux, and my favorite surprise, “My bestfriend Sabrina” rapped by the maid of honor to Tone Loc’s “Funky Cold Medina”. AMAZING speech, possibly the best I have seen:) The dancing never stopped, because let’s face it WEHO knows how to dance…and the best part at the end of the night, other than the ridiculous mini dessert table, was when Jessica’s mother unzipped her gown turning it into a hot mini-dress. She gets the “Coolest Mom” award for sure!
I love you ladies and I can’t wait to have more adventures when you get back from your epic honeymoon! In the meantime, enjoy the blog! XOXO
