Melissa and Pete’s Sydney, Australia Engagement Session
I can’t believe I shot this engagement shoot in Sydney only one week ago! First of all, I LOVE Sydney, Australia. It is one of my favorite cities in the world and one of the most picturesque. I could totally live there! So when I found out Melissa and Pete, one of my couples getting married this year, LIVE in Sydney, I jumped at the chance to shoot their engagement shoot over there while I was visiting Australia and New Zealand. It was serendipitous that I met these two through Ryan Larson of Savoir Flair Weddings right before I was leaving on my trip!
We lucked out and had a GORGEOUS day! We started off at the Royal Botanic Gardens, then walked over to the famous Harbor Bridge and Sydney Opera House, because you can’t have an engagement shoot in Sydney without THAT famous view. Afterwards we went to Balmoral Beach in Mosman across the bridge. It was such an intimate, private little cove with rock formations and a little island you could walk over to. It was adorable and one of the best hidden beaches in Sydney. Here we decided to to a “tribute” to the fact that Pete is a surfer AND that they both actually met each other in bathing suits at the Hard Rock Hotel Pool in Las Vegas. So we thought we would just bring it all back full circle:) We joked about what happens in Vegas actually doesn’t stay in Vegas! In fact, it took these two to Sydney and now back to the US for a destination wedding. So congratulations for being one of the few that actually leave Vegas Lucky, In Love, and with a Life Partner! Who knew you could find a husband at the Rehab Pool Party in Vegas?:)
