I met Lisa and Mark (and of course Little Chewbacca) through the fabulous Event Designer Kristin Banta and I love that our creative/beauty team along with Tara Dowburd of Make-Up Therapy is reunited again! We decided that we wanted to run around Hollywood and show off some of the glamour and fun sights that are so iconic in this city. That involved visiting the famous Disney Concert Hall and Ahmanson Theatre and then jumping inside a life-sized TV set that I discovered in a parking lot near Hollywood and Vine. After that, I took these two on a wild goose chase through the Lake Hollywood Estates neighborhood in search of the best view of the Hollywood sign…and after about 20 minutes of getting lost, we FINALLY discovered it!
From there we raced the sunset up at the Griffith Observatory for some epic views of the downtown Los Angeles cityscape (where they live), and ended the day at my favorite time of day to shoot…twilight at the lamp post art installation at the LACMA Museum!! Three wardrobe changes later I felt like we had accomplished more than most in a few hours and had sort of a speed-dating relationship with Hollywood. I loved that these two have lived here for years, but I managed to show them a few new spots they had never been before:)
What an epic, fun day and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding! Lisa even lent me her gorgeous Marciano dress she wore at the lamp posts for a wedding I just attended! Yep, BONUS we are the same size too:)! Thank you two for such a fun day! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek from our shoot!
