Allison and Don’s Wedding at Casa del Mar in Santa Monica
Allison and Don are such an adorable couple. I was looking forward to shooting this wedding for a while, not only because I knew I was going to be working with the fabulous Debra Parr and her Amazing Grace Team, but because Allison and Don are such a kind, loving couple who laugh a lot and give hope to all of us about waiting to find the “right one”:)
Allison’s gorgeous 91 year old mother was in attendance and I had so much fun hanging out with the women while they were getting ready. Allison’s beauty team, Tara Dowburd of Make-Up Therapy is not only one of my favorite people on this planet, but is one of the most talented make-up artists out there and she always brings such calm good energy to the room. I was completely obsessed with Allison’s black and White lace gown with the black lace overlay and her matching shoes. One of her friends made a brooch bouquet that matched perfectly and it was hard to decide between her gorgeous fuschia floral bouquet and the brooch one…so we decided to use both!
Their wedding was at one of my favorite beach hotels, Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica. It was a rare day of weather for Southern California where it rained a little, but it cleared up just as they said “I Do” and gave us one of the most beautiful sunsets we have had in a while. We ran out of the sand and took some fun photos near the Santa Monica Pier and they turned out to be some of my favorites of the day. Allison and Don finally got to relax and spend some quality time together before their crazy party started! Let me tell you their guests were non-stop dance all night and then a full wrestling match happened on the dance floor for the bouquet! lol.
Allison and Don, I wish you two both a lot of love, success, health, and an amazing start to your new life together and blending of families. I think you two are off to a great start! XOXO
