Kate Kirby’s MidSummer’s Night Dream-Themed 1st Birthday
I can’t believe little Kate Kirby is already 1 years old! Her parents Cher and Ian are two of my closest friends and are like my family. I have photographed ALL of their important moments from their engagement, wedding, family events and Christmas cards, and now Kate’s first birthday!
Leave it to Cher and Ian to throw an amazing party. They decided to turn their house into an indoor/outdoor garden and have a MidSummer’s Night Dream Themed party…costumes encouraged:) They had a fabulous face painter, Bess Wyrick of Celadon and Celery pulled a huge favor for me straight from her Hawaii flight to make her famous flower crowns for the guests, and everything from the decor to the food and drinks, were straight out of a fairytale garden.
Over the years our BBQ’s have turned into a family affair with the babies and kids multiplying year by year. I love having my camera with me at events like this as my gift to everyone and to be able to document where we are in our lives and our growing families…I say “OUR” since I feel like I am part of everyone’s family by documenting their lives.
Happy Birthday to my little chubster:) Watching you eat cake for the first time was TOO cute!
