Not many people get married on a Friday morning, but we couldn’t have asked for better weather, lighting or timing to do their photos! Kianna and Jamel recently bought a house, so instead of a honeymoon they opted to stay around for the weekend and relax and hang out with friends and family after the wedding. The day started off bright and early at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach for the getting ready photos, then we took of for my favorite chapel, Wayfarers Chapel, in Rancho Palos Verdes. It’s hard to take a bad photo when you are in a glass chapel that overlooks the bluffs of Palos Verdes…simply stunning! Afterwards, we went back to the Portofino for some lunch, dancing, heartfelt speeches, MORE dancing, and of course cake! The day wasn’t over for us once the guests said their goodbyes, though. Instead, Kianna, Jamel, and I jumped back in our cars and revisited the Palos Verdes Peninsula at Terranea Resort and Spa to take some more romantic photos in the late afternoon light. Here, we were given royal service and carted down to the rocky cove where groups of dolphins were frolicking, and we took my favorite photos of the day. The light was stunning, the nerves were all gone, the family was fed and happy and we were left with just us and a beaming, newly married couple just before sunset on the rocks. I am in LOVE with these photos!
Kianna and Jamel, I had SO much fun being a part of your big day and running around with you two. I wish you both all the luck and happiness in your new lives together. I hope you find time to take a honeymoon together at some point, but in the meantime..RELAX! You two have earned it!
