FINALLY, I get a chance to post this gorgeous blog of Amy and Christopher’s wedding!!! What an honor to be asked to shoot their wedding, considering that Amy is one of the most talented wedding photographers I know…no pressure:) Amy and I both shoot many weddings at the famous glass chapel, Wayfarers Chapel, in Rancho Palos Verdes, so when she told me she was having hers there I was at first surprised but then I realized that she wanted to know EXACTLY what to expect and wanted something that would flow easily on her wedding day. Since Chris’s mother lives nearby and offered her gorgeous home for the reception, it was perfect!
Amy definitely made it easy for me to photograph her wedding, not only were all of the details organized and laid out perfectly and photo ready, but she was stunning and Christopher was giddy every time he laid eyes on her. The reception was simple, gorgeous and perfect. Amy and Chris hired the fabulous Ida Gardner to coordinate their wedding and between her and the Wayfarers posse, they were definitely in good hands. Amy’s gorgeous bouquets were done by, Flowers by Laurel, and there were so many cute details at the reception from the cupcake tower to the candied apples her aunts made as favors, but my favorite was the beautiful canvas print of Amy and Christopher. When I asked her who took it, she said “Me, of course…self-timer”. Who else? lol
Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of your most important day! Amy, I can’t wait to ask you how being a Wayfarers bride yourself affects the way you shoot your future weddings at Wayfarers Chapel. I am sure your view of the chapel has been forever altered..and now you two are permanently a part of the chapel with the personalized brick you engraved in the rose garden. Very cool:) Love to you both!
