Natalie and Russ’s Wedding at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club

I have to thank the FABULOUS Julie Nunn with I DO! Wedding & Event Design for bringing me on with her team for this wedding.  I love ANY opportunity to come visit Mill Valley (AKA Pleasantville).  We had the most GORGEOUS weather and the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club was the perfect rustic venue for this quaint DIY style wedding.  I LOVED all of the details, from the succulent flower arrangements and matching grey and yellow tones from Loop Event Arts, to the guest sign in books at each table, to the specialty drinks and beer brought in from Figueroa Mountain Brewery, to the lanterns and matching pillows scattered outside, to the “Pie Room” rather than the traditional wedding cake decorated with vintage family wedding portraits, and even a  candy table!! Also, all of the delicious food was catered by the culinary master, Gay Vail with All Seasons Catering.  My FAVORITE highlights of the day were 1. the most ridiculously funny Ceremony I think I have EVER seen, performed by the newly ordained- Overly French, Phillip Bardet.  It was more of a Roast on Russ than a ceremony, but equally as touching as it was laugh-out-loud funny and 2. was my favorite band EVER….The Keith Johnson All Stars.  I ALWAYS know it’s going to be a long night when they are performing.  People just can’t leave the dance floor when they are playing and some guests even got up and joined the band…so hilarious!  All in all, this was SUCH a fun day and I am so glad that I can say now that I have photographed Natalie Cole…LOL.
