I first met Nina through a former bride of mine Romi. I knew from meeting her once that she and Alex were going to have a very special wedding and I was excited to be able to document it. Good things come to those who wait:) We decided to do their engagement shoot only a week before the wedding and we had so much fun running around their “hood” in Griffith Park. It got me VERY excited to run around Calamigos Ranch with them on their wedding day, because with all of the fun props, carousels and barns I knew it would be a photo paradise! There were SO many cute pics of Nina and Alex that this blog is a lengthy one…but I HAD to share.
I also was super excited, because my “beauty posse” was all together; first with Alison Burmeister doing the hair and make up and then with Andre, shooting amazing video footage of the day. I knew Nina and Alex were in good hands:) Some of my highlights of the day were the cute popcorn boxes (also used as flower girl baskets), Nina’s AMAZING shoes, the red barn and impromptu instamatic camera photoshoot, the gorgeous ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour with the amazing Frank Sinatra-style Crooner Band, the long list of friends lined up to give speeches (a testament to how amazing both Nina and Alex are), and finally, the bouquet presentation to Nina’s younger sister. I thought that was a cute touch:) I am so happy you two found each other. Congratulations!
