Elisa and Tom are two of my favorite people! You may remember them from my blog of their engagement shoot. Although there weren’t many trees in the open preserve that we shot those photos in, their wedding day was a whole other story. In fact their “theme” throughout was WOOD and trees and was even spoken about metaphorically in their ceremony and was apparent throughout their decor. The fabulous Renee Fontana with Fontana Floral Design helped make this “forest Fantasy” come to life. Even their favors were handmade ceramic coasters that looked like wood grain with a heart on it…so beautiful that I took a set home:) There were so many meaningful and creative touches like this embedded in their wedding day. From the wood flower corsages for her closest girlfriends (so they will never die), to her first look with her father (whose health last year was in question), to their hanging lanterns over their ceremony arch, to even some of the more “fun” things like a massive dessert bar, midnight mini-burger bar and of course OVERTIME with the DJ, so the REAL party animals come out!!…EVERYTHING was thought out. Although Elisa had a lot to do with these little touches, I have to also thank Laura Ward with A Diamond Affair for a lot of it AND for making this day SO fluid and easy. It was great working with your team Laura! I had SUCH a blast, but I knew after pants were split dancing, that the photography should probably stop..LOL. I wish you two all the best and I hope you are enjoying your beautiful drive up the coast right now!!
