Congratulations! Now that you have booked our photography services, here are the things that you will have to do:

1) Plan out your engagement shoot:

Usually I tell my clients to plan up to 3 different looks (casual, dressy, romantic) and up to three locations. When planning these outfits, make sure you pick solid colors, colors that compliment each other, and stay away from whites and crazy patterns, etc. The definition of "casual" is what you wear when hang out with each other, "dressy" is typically a sport coat w/ a dress, and "romantic" is usually slacks and semi-formal for a guy and a long, flowy, dress for a girl.

Dressy

For locations, engagement shoots take about 3 hrs, so try to pick locations that are close to each other, and are personal to you (ie: where you had your first date, etc.). Think about props, personal items, or signs that would make shoot more fun and playful.

*Destination engagement shoots are available, but additional travel costs would be applicable.

2) Things I will need from you before the wedding:

A month out from the wedding, these 3 things are due:

  • A SHOT LIST: Names and groupings of important people for formal photos. This helps with making the formal photos move quickly and more smoothly and helps us plan out how much time we will need for these photos on the big day. For example, "Groupings" means specific family members, best friends, aunt and uncle's, college girlfriends, or any other groups of people that I may not know to gather. Also, please list any other specific photo requests that you may have. This is important as it helps us to determine if it fits within the timeline and gives us the ability to tweak the timeline if needed before the wedding.
  • THE TIMELINE: The timeline is crucial as it is important for us to know when to show up, scout locations for lighting, and to know if all photo requests are realistic or not. This will help the day to run a lot smoother.
  • FINAL PAYMENT: Final payment is due the month before the event so we don't have to worry about it on the day of or afterwards so you can enjoy your wedding and honeymoon!

3) Delivery of Your Images:

About 2 weeks or so after your wedding, you will receive a custom link to view, download, or print your images. They will also be posted on our blog and you can share this link with friends and family. After your wedding, your only task will be narrowing down your thousands of amazing images for your album!

4) Wedding Albums:

If you purchased a wedding album through Beautiful Day Photography, or it was included in your package, you can begin the process by "favoriting" 100-200 images in your gallery by clicking the heart icon when you hover over the photo. We begin the initial design by using those favorites and send the design to you for approval or any necessary revisions. Retouching of the images and album design are included in our packages. You will receive three revisions for free once the initial album design has been delivered to you. However, after the 3rd revision, album design starts at $50/hr. The entire album process should take roughly 4-6 weeks from the date you choose your favorite images in order to retouch, layout, approveand receive your printed album.

5) If you’re wanting your wedding to be submitted to any blogs or publications, we'll need the following info:

  • List of ALL vendors from your wedding
  • Your story of how you two met
  • Your description of the theme of your wedding
  • Anything what made your wedding unique or different

Once this information is given to us, we can submit it for you.

6) Fine Art pieces or oversized prints:

If you would like any oversized art pieces, we can create that for you.  The following mediums are available to print on:

canvas

framing

acrylic

metal

bamboo

Just inquire about these printing services and we would be happy to create a custom piece for your home.
